Send Files, Device to Device

Share a link. They download straight from your browser, no upload.

How to send files

Three steps, no account.

  1. 1

    Add your files

Drop, choose or paste any files. Add a password if you like.

  2. 2

    Share the link

Copy the link or let them scan the QR code. Keep this page open.

  3. 3

    They download

Straight from your browser to theirs, one file or all as a zip.

File sharing without the upload

JustYourFiles sends files from your browser straight to someone else's. Add files, share the link it gives you, and the other person downloads them directly from your device over an encrypted peer-to-peer (WebRTC) connection.

There is no upload step and nothing is stored on a server: a small connection server only introduces the two browsers. That also means the link works only while your page stays open. Close it and the files are gone from the internet.

Popular uses

  • Sending files too big for email attachments
  • Moving photos and videos from a phone to a computer
  • Sharing work files without putting them in someone's cloud
  • Getting files from iPhone to Android, or Windows to Mac
  • Handing a big download to several people at once

Tips for the best result

  • Keep this page open, and the computer awake, until the receiver's download finishes. Your browser is doing the sending.
  • Add a password when the link might be seen by others, for example in a group chat.
  • For very large files, the receiver should use Chrome, Edge or Firefox on a computer: they save the file as it arrives.

Read how JustYourFiles sends files and our privacy details. Files go only to people who open your link while this page is open; nothing is stored on a server.

Frequently asked questions

No. Files go straight from your browser to the receiver's over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection. They're never stored on a server, and JustYourFiles never sees them or their names.

Your browser is the one sending the files. Close the tab, or let the computer sleep, and the link stops working. Keep it open until the receiver's download finishes.

Yes. No sign-up, no limits we set and no watermark. Clearly labeled ads keep it that way.
